Note to self:

Don't bring up Rilke in a seminar that is not about Rilke. You will dreamily ramble about angels and terror and God when you "come to" only an awkward silence will be there to greet you.

"Come to"? Have you been learning about Heidegger?

Never mind. I guess the quotes through me off. I doubt you "came to" in the middle of class and confronted the inevitability of death and nothingness. Or did you...?

And by "through me off" I meant "threw me off."

I've discovered your blog btw

Oh shit. My friend Charlie told me to write here more often so I just wandered back here and saw my new comments!

I can't give you too much credit for "discovering" it, seeing as it isn't particularly hidden.

Have you never heard of the expression "came to"?

I had no attention span in seminar today. People were name dropping Heidegger but I forgot how to spell it for my notes so I just drew two stick figures. One with a smiley face saying "Hi, Digger!" to one with a shovel. Next to a hole.

Um, fyi, they prefer you call them Shoveling-Americans.
